We’ve come to assume that any Ayuntamiento in an Andalusian city is going to be a beautiful piece of architecture, and the town hall in Cádiz does not let us down. A government building has been sat here since the 16th century, although it wasn’t until the wealthy period of the 18th century that the structure took on the stunning form we find it in today. The commercial and cultural history of Cádiz is commemorated on the exterior of the building, while the interior courtyard is a window into the magnificent past of this famous city. Entering the building is free of charge, but tours need to be organised in advance.
