We thought we might have wandered through a portal in the space/time continuum on our first visit to The Goat Herder. This charming little spot with its menu of nutritious yet scrumptious snacks and serious coffee for serious coffee lovers, would not be out of place in Melbourne, or Notting Hill for that matter. Yet there it is, firmly ensconced in the 7th district of Budapest. The unaccented English speaking wait staff just added to the impression of warp travel - but it turns out the Goat Herder's owners are actually from the UK. We were delighted with our very reasonably priced tuna wraps and coffee cake, and feel confident in saying that, even if you're not a student at the nearby veterinary university, The Goat Herder is worth seeking out. Indeed the number 74 bus will take you right to their doorstep, (in case the multi-dimensional portal is experiencing any technical glitches.)
