Asian food has started to enter the mainstream in Budapest, at least with well travelled urbanites. Not that you'll find us complaining about that. Pad Thai Wok Bar is convenient, fast food, without the junk component. Their three stage menu means you choose the base, the toppings (they advise no more than four) and the sauce, and wait as it is prepared in their open kitchen. Ingredients are sourced from small, local producers or Asian specialist importers wherever possible. The concept works, and they do such a steady trade it seems almost inevitable that it will spawn a franchise.
