All great things must come to an end, and it is with the Wills Memorial Building that inventive and expressive Gothic architecture came to a climax in England. Opened in 1925, this 66m tall Neo Gothic building is a memorial to (you guessed it) Henry Overton Wills III, the first Chancellor of the University of Bristol. This is the university’s landmark building, and one of the most aesthetically pleasing in the city to boot.
