Bristol Zoo is one of the most famous zoos in England, although that might be more to do with Goldie Lookin’ Chain than the animals that live here. Education is high on the list of priorities at Bristol Zoo, with frequent lectures, events and exhibition all aimed at helping people (young folk especially) learn about the magnificence of the natural world. What animals await? All sorts, as you’d expect, from meerkats to monkeys and penguins to seals. The Zoo is located not too far from Clifton Suspension Bridge, with entrance costing £17 for adults and £11 for those between two and 14. You can even get married here, if you’re into that sort of thing.
