If you’re building a seaside retreat for a boy who would be King, you better add some delightful English gardens as well, lest you find yourself thrown into the London Dungeon (although this didn’t really happen in the 19th century). The Pavilion Gardens in Brighton are one of the few fully restored classic gardens in the UK, a delightfully English homage to the restorative powers of plants and greenery and the perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon. The gardens are home to a special collection of elm trees, so do keep an eye out for them.
