You’ve heard of ‘The Bridge on the Drina’, but what of ‘The Bridge on the Žepa’? Thought to be something of a rehearsal for the book that made Ivo Andrić famous, the 1925 story was inspired by this very bridge located 35km north-east of Rogatica. The Balkans is full of absolutely magnificent stone bridges, and this charmer on the Žepa river does not disappoint.
