A great way to combine fitness and culture is to follow this path that starts at the museum and ends at Khislstein Castle after taking in several sights along the way. Featured along the route are Prešeren House, the place where the famous poet France Prešeren spent the last two years of his life and where visitors can see his original bed. Kranj Town Hall, a fine Renaissance building containing several fascinating permanent exhibitions, is next on the route, followed by the Ossuary where the local townspeople buried their dead until the end of the 18th century. The penultimate place to see is the highly recommended GPN Gallery, where examples of the best Slovenian art from the second half of the 20th century are on display. Finally, Khislstein Castle offers historical interiors, lush gardens and a café to drink at and relax at the end of the journey.
