Christmas in Bled

If you’re in Bled over the week of Christmas then you’ll have plenty of options. On Christmas eve and Christmas day you might be lucky to see Santa himself riding around on a horse drawn carriage. Later that afternoon you can watch the Sinking of the Bell at 17:00 which is based on a centuries old legend (yes, they do actually sink a large bell into the lake). The following day in the village of Kupljenik there’s a St Stephen’s Fair and blessing of horses at 10:00. And on 26/12 you can enjoy a New Year Performance by the Gorje Brass Band at Spa Park 17:00. The Folklore Association host their annual musical event at Festival Hall on Saturday 29/12. And on the penultimate evening of the year you can join in and be part of the Circle Of Friendship around the lake.
