Located in the West Midlands (duh) town of Bewdley, we have some quite vivid memories of visiting West Midland Safari Park, whether thats the panic of monkeys swamping the car or the beauty of the giraffe, that most languid of beasts. This was the first park in the UK to showcase Africa’s big five, and it also has the largest group of cheetahs, white lions and hippopotami (yes, that is the plural) in the country. Just stay in the car, please. The park is 22miles west of Birmingham’s centre.
