Christopher Street Day Parade

This now annual demo starts at 12pm in Berlin-Charlottenburg, on the corner of Ku’damm and Joachimsthaler Str and makes its way via Wittenbergplatz, Nollendorfplatz, Lützowplatz and Siegessäule to Brandenburg Gate.  Berlin Pride’s twofold demo structure gives particular visibility to grassroot projects and smaller groups: the first part of the demo helps these groups not to get lost between the huge bassy trucks which follow. Participation in the first part of the demo is allowed for anyone without a motor, but it’s also possible for vehicles as long as their sound systems are limited to a not-too-loud 400 Watts. Marchers may join the demo wherever they like: along the route, there is always open access to the march, so you can decide to join in spontaneously, anywhere you like.
