Better late than never, as the old saying goes. Nearly a decade late and billions of Euros over budget, Berlin’s Brandenburg Airport is open for business, ready to fly millions of people all over the world, all year long. The airport is just about as modern as it gets but the observation deck and attention to historical detail deserve special mention, offering visitors plenty to keep them occupied during those interminably long waits. The airport is one big homage to the history of German aviation, in short. Trains from Berlin’s central station to the airport run four times every hour, with the S9 and S45 S-Bahn trains making the same journey.
