Topla Voda is Serbian for 'warm water', and it was thus named because this spring has the warmest water in Vrnjačka Banja, with a temperature of 36.5°C. It is well known in the town, as its healing waters can be used for treating several diseases and rehabilitation after surgery or other medical procedures. The water is also said to prevent a number of different illnesses. The spring has been flowing since the prehistoric period, and has long been used for medicinal purposes.
