Pančić's Peak

more than a year ago
Pančić's Peak is the highest summit in the Kopaonik Mountain Range, and also the second highest point in Serbia at 2017 metres above sea level. It was previously named Milan's Peak after a Serbian king, but its name was changed in 1951 in honour of Josif Pančić, a botanist who was buried in a little mausoleum on the very top. It's also part of the Kopaonik National Park.
