Located on the sophisticated Lisburn Road, this wonderful fine food emporium serves gourmet-class breakfasts and lunches in its intimate black and red cafe space. And, not only can you dine in style, but Swantons also doubles as a deli selling global foods, gourmet gifts and bespoke hampers. Efficient staff know their stuff so don't be afraid to ask if you have a particular delicacy in mind. Pop in for a coffee and sandwich or, if you're feeling decadent, organic ciabatta filled with artisan cheeses, home-made hummus or smoked salmon. Magnificent muffins, mini brownies and luxurious lemon tarts round off your gourmet hit. The perfect place for a post-retail pick-me-up or leisurely lunch that borders on the divine.
YES its true Swantons is under new ownership and they have kept up the excellent standards set by the creators of this most outstanding coffee shop I have endulged several times since the changeover and will continue to do so.

Was in Belfast yesterday and was reccommended Swantons by a friend. Had a great seafood salad with a coffee and cupcake to finish the meal off. Shocked at the previos comments as I couldn't complain about anything. The place had a great buzz and atmosphere. Staff were all very friendly and very accommodating of my needs. Will definitely be back again when I'm next in town!

My wife bought a soggy roll from Swanton's today (28th January 2011) and when she went back in to complain the blond lady who always works there was totally dismissive of her and told her the roll was FINE. No offer of replacement roll was made at all. It was simply shoved back at her across the counter The sheer utter arrogance of this place appears to be evident from everyone I chatted to today. I would strongly advise against going there at any stage, given the bad service my wife had today. We certainly won't be returning under any circumstances.

We went to Swantons at 11.45 and tried to order a breakfast dish only to be told that they had stopped serving breakfast. My 2 friends and I then ordered lunch and asked for tap water. We were told that they would not serve us tap water and had to buy very expensive bottled water. The staff are very rude and unapproachable. The lunch for 3 was over £35. I will never be back.

My wife and I went in at 11.30 on Saturday morning and ordered a Greek salad and pastrami sandwich, only to be told that lunch doesn't begin until 12.00. Eventually we were served. In the meantime I was served the weakest cup of coffee I have ever seen. The food is very good but the service and the coffee can be problematical to say the least.
