Inside this quaint Queen's Quarter eaterie is a laid-back downstairs bistro and rustically elegant upstairs restaurant. Local produce such as beef, sea bream and venison feature in the Irish-flavoured menu. And, as befits ownership by the good people behind Hilden Brewery, this former stables also houses Belfast's first micro brewery. Molly's Chocolate Stout and Belfast Blonde are among the inventively-named, and pleasing to the palette, tipples. The restaurant's bijouness and enduring popularity demand pre-booking to ensure a pew.

My new favourite place to eat in Belfast! Admittedly there are not many good eateries here but I would put this on a par with Mourne Seafood. Not too stuffy but attentive professional service. Good portion size. Lots of choices for a non-meat eater. Excellent wine list. Two starters the fish special and the rib eye steak two desserts two coffees and a bottle of red for £82 - more than reasonable. Will be going again alot!

Quaint restaurant however we chose the pasta dish off the theatre menu and whilst it was delicious there was not enough so I was slightly disappointed and because I was still hungry I had desert (which I never normally eat because I prefer savoury food) it did not hit the spot. I would however visit again just to give them a chance to redeem themselves!

Nice setting but failed to make a lasting impression. At 19.50 for a small ribeye steak prices were high for a distinctly average meal. Flavours were simple and uninspiring, one vegetarian in our group ordered a vegetable lasagna however the only veg she found was mushrooms. When she approached the staff after the meal to enquire (not complain) no-one returned. Instead we were told they needed the table back in 20 minutes and would we be wanting deserts!?! felt pushed off the table. Not a memorable dining experience and for the same money can get a table for the night, more professional service and much superior food. Recommend James St South, Tedfords, Mourne Seafood. Will not be back to Mollys yard as there is much more Belfast can offer.

Molly's Yard is amazing. The food and staff were fantastic- one of the best places we've been to! Looking forward to going back again.

Living in London & visiting Belfast whilst working, discovering Molly's was a real find! Ive brought colleagues from work since & on each occasion the food & service have been great. Personally prefer the relaxed informal Bistro for an evening meal after a long day, but have eaten upstairs with a larger group. You wont be disappointed!
