Situated to the south of the city centre, Alexandra Park is the place to go for that picture-perfect view of this most picture-perfect city. The park covers some 11 acres and requires a little bit of energy to conquer, but the views from the peak points will do more than reinvigorate those short of breath. You can see all of Bath from here, giving you a bird’s eye view of this most marvellous city, as well as panoramic views of the surrounding forestry. The best way to access the park is via the long light of steps known as Jacob’s Ladder, or by taking the Shakespeare’s Avenue route. Stunning.
