This mosque, built in the 1990s, recreates exactly the Bibi-Heybat Mosque, built from Shirvanshah Farrukhzad II back in the 13th century. Unfortunately, the original building was completely destroyed by the Bolsheviks in the 20th century and creating the exact copy of it was the best option available for the ones who needed to cope with the remains.
