Originally devised as a study ground for botanists, the people behind the Aarhus Botanical Gardens didn’t reckon on locals and visitors having such an appetite for the marvellous natural world. The park now covers 53 acres of greenery and is home to a vast array of flora from across the planet. The greenhouses are the highlight, huge tropical homes for those most unusual plants, curious domes worth of photographing both inside and out. The future of the gardens is always somewhat up in the air, so be sure to visit before it is too late.
