Not your average town hall, that’s for sure. The City Hall in Aarhus was completed in 1941 to the specifications of Arne Jacobson and Erik Møller, a curious construction of grey marble shipped in from Norway with a tower that is either the highlight or an eyesore, we’re yet to make our minds up. A handy location by the Central Station makes this one of the first spots seen by visitors to the city, and we think it makes for a rather apt introduction to this endlessly unusual city. The pig sculpture on City Hall Square only adds to it all. Visitors are free to enter the hall to have a look around.
