The train station in Varna is located right next to the Port of Varna. It is one of the country's oldest railway stations. The Orient Express stopped here between 1883 and 1885. The present edifice in Art Nouveau style was constructed between 1908 and 1925, the station clock stems from Germany and was installed in 1929. The building underwent substantial renovation in 2004 & 2005. The trains serve the capital Sofia and other towns.
