The historical past of Varna is really impressive but nothing compares to the sound and the view of the seaside. The Sea Garden is Bulgaria’s oldest and best known public park, also said to be the largest landscaped park in the Balkans. It was first created as a small garden for the city's Ottoman mayor. After the Liberation mayor Mihail Koloni suggested the arrangement of a city garden and a seaside park in 1881. The Sea Garden today covers an area of 26,000 m². It is lovely to enjoy a walk in the garden at the break of day or in the evening to watch the sunset. There are lots of beach bars and cafés in the park.
