The Tilburg branch of The Grass Company was the first coffee shop in the province of Noord-Brabant, having opened its doors in 1981. Today you can still buy joints here, but you need a valid passport and proof of residency in Holland. If you have the documentation to pass these nonsensical formalities, this spacious place offers a good selection of fresh teas, coffees and alcohol free mocktails. If you're a little peckish, you can also get comfy on one of two floors and enjoy an XXL toasted sandwich, club sandwich or even a proper bitterballen sandwich. The secondhand smoke from water pipes and other marijuana gadgets also enables you to get high for free if you're broke.
