At L’Orangerie they’re somehow able to turn the simplest sounding dishes into something luxurious and exotic. A typical Dutch soup becomes a creamy delicacy with garlic, spring onion and croutons. Something as simple as a fillet steak, which can be found at nearly any local restaurant, becomes a masterpiece as L’Orangerie buys its beef from the Henk Broeders stables and then marinates it in Tilburg La Trappe Tripel beer. If you have trouble choosing from all these delicious dishes, you might want to try the three, four or five-course surprise menu. The interior is also surprisingly impressive and you can’t miss its bright yellow hue on the Korte Heuvel that attracts the sun even in the winter.
