This small Indonesian restaurant is hidden behind Ringbaan Oost, but is well worth the hike. The décor borrows heavily from traditional Indonesian furnishings, but with a modern twist. The window sills are covered in Wajang dolls, the tables are set with bamboo placemats and, true to tradition, the staff wear sarongs. The food’s authentically Indonesian, prepared the way old Javan women might, but in a professional manner. Several types of satay form the core of this traditional menu and typically Indonesian drinks like klappa muda (rose syrup) and tjendol (coconut milk) are also served here.

Just eat yesterday here with an old friend of mine. Although we studied (and lived) here for more then a decade none of us knew this place. Thats why we choose it and we would recommend it now to each person we meet. What a great hidden gem. Although the menu is a kind of limited the servings are great. We both choose the mini Rijsttafel and it was fantastic. The rice was great like the different kinds of meat, chicken, vegetables and egg who all came on the same plate. Also very attentive staff. And free parking in front of the door...
