If you're planning on dining with a group, this is one of the better options around Simpson Bay. Well-trained staff pamper you from the moment you enter this venue and don't stop until you've left the premises. Owner/manager Pete has created the perfect night out by combining a number of different concepts together including a sports bar, a lounge/club, a souvenir shop and a pool hall. The only thing that's missing is a bed to crash in afterward. Expect huge portions of all the usual international favourites like burgers and fish and chips, although the rack of lamb was also quite good despite all of the added, unnecessary sauces that seem to cover every meal. Not the best option for a romantic evening, Pineapple Pete is a place for affordable food and nightlife.
