This is, hands down, the best barbecue on the island. Three times a week its friendly owners Eddie and Pat roll out their massive, pre-World War II grill and roast the tastiest pork ribs, chicken (Tuesdays and Fridays) and steaks (Sundays) you've ever encountered. In short, it's good old-fashioned barbecue for a bargain basement price. Just make sure you book a table or the tantalising aroma of grilled meat will be the only thing you experience here. During the rest of the week, Swinging Doors is a fun watering hole perfect for lively conversations with strangers. If plastic chairs, an outdated interior and disposable plates are too low-brow for you, then keep walking, but if ice cold Heinekens sound good, then step right up.
