Nature lovers can't go wrong at Ecolodge. As the name suggests, all accommodation has been designed with Mother Nature in mind. Anyone who prefers luxury and comfort should probably stay in Saba's two main villages as this hidden paradise and its 12 cottages are reserved for people who can handle the 'shortcomings' of being eco-conscious. There is no electricity here, which means that candles and oil lamps are provided adding a certain 18th-century charm to the place, but you can take a warm shower at the end of the day when the sun has charged the solar cells in your cabin. The two types of cottages on offers are a bit small, but are equipped with comfortable beds, a porch with hammocks, a hot tub and great views of this earthly paradise. If you don't feel like reading by lamplight at night you can take in a daily concert by the original inhabitants of the island, the Coquee. It's hard to spot the tiny resident tree frogs, but you'll certainly hear them.
