To call this a traditional Japanese or sushi restaurant would be a bit of a stretch of the imagination. Any old-school Japanese sushi chef worth his salt would never present dishes the way they're proffered at Mood. That said, having lunch or dinner here is a real feast for the senses. The tacky 'sushi boat' seems to be the most popular dish on the extensive menu, but we preferred the spicy edamame and the excellent seafood dishes. With its fine contemporary setting and unusual menu, Mood is a welcome addition to Eindhoven's restaurant scene, but the management could spend more time training the staff. Food as good as this deserves enthusiastic servers.
