Houwens Vlaai

For years the Central Station has been the place to get authentic Houwens Vlaai, a treat that every Dutchman remembers from his youth. Since 1951 this family-owned company has been producing the most delicious, mouthwatering cake fillings in the Netherlands. It recently moved from the station to a much more appropriate location with yet another crowd pleaser, the La Toscana ice cream salon. It's central location, wonderful terrace and wide range of pastries make this the perfect place to stop after a hard day of shopping.
