A magnificent building found directly opposite Liverpool Lime Street, St George’s Hall was opened in 1854 to critical and public acclaim, and has since been described as one of the ‘finest Neo-Grecian buildings on the planet’. Heady praise indeed. We aren’t about to disagree, and this stunner of a building is a defiant welcome in a city that doesn’t waste time wasting time. The hall hosts lots of conferences and events, and The Little Shoe is one of the most adorable major cafes in the city.
