Jump on a train from Liverpool Central and head to the marvellously monikered Port Sunlight, home of the Lady Lever Art Gallery. Established in 1922, this is as much a mandatory visit for the architecture and interior as it is the art, although there is plenty of the latter to keep aficionados engaged.
