Panoramic Lift (Bigo)

  Porto Antico      (+39) 010 234 56 78     more than a year ago
The ‘Bigo’ is another of Renzo Piano’s additions to the city skyline, taking its name from the cranes once used for loading and unloading ships. Now it refers to the bizarre spider like construction and its cylindrical lift which carries you 40m. up, spins you around slowly and brings you back down again. A truly memorable way to see the city. Try to go on a sunny day and don’t forget your camera! The long arms which support the structure also form part of a covered pavilion area where there is a skating rink in winter and other cultural or sporting events during the rest of the year.
