Thanks to new acquisitions, the original collection donated to the museum by Prince Odone of Savoy in 1866, has grown to cover three floors and includes over 2,700 works of art dating from the beginning of the 19th century to the present. The museum takes you on a journey from the late impressionists, neoclassicists and portraits on the ground floor through to 19th century symbolism, futurism and Art Nouveau (furniture exhibits from the nearby Wolfsonian gallery) on the first floor and up to various works from the 30s and 40s at the top. There is wheelchair access throughout and a special tactile route marked out in braille for some exhibits.
