A striking pink and red synagogue just a couple of streets removed from the main square, the Pászti Street Synagogue has seen plenty of ups and downs since its building in 1893. Completely renovated, the courtyard is home to a sombre Holocaust memorial, while the basement holds the remains of a mikveh (a bath used for ritual immersion).
