The most successful Hungarian football club of this century, Debreceni VSC have walked away with the national title on seven occasions since the arrival of the new millennium. This is particularly impressive considering the pre-2000 total was zero, with the club’s first century bringing little in the way of interest. The club plays its home games at the hugely impressive Nagyerdei Stadion, arguably the best stadium in Hungary.
