Fleur de Marie is one of our favourite districts in Willemstad and it's here between modernised offices that you'll find the the Ritz Studios, formerly known as the leading ice cream factory on Curacao. Since its closure in 1999, the whole complex has been transformed into a business and accommodation complex. All the historic buildings are still intact, but now house 55 spacious studios apartments decorated with typical island pastel colours. The bathrooms are a bit small, but the rooms are equipped with modern amenities, patios, free wi-fi, kitchens, queen-size beds and lots of space. The complex also has its own mini-market, swimming pool, medical university, launderette and internet café, so there's really no need to leave this little village.
