You’ll find Shete Boka National Park (Seven Bays) about a half an hour's drive west of the airport, almost at the bottom of Curacao's highest peak, Christoffelberg. Covering an area of 10km of rocky, wave-exposed coastline, this is since 1994 a paradise for hikers and nature lovers. Four different bokas (out of the ten) can be explored and it’s possible to drive to all of them on a rough dirt road, although you can leave your vehicle at the gate and walk. Huge waves thunder in an underground cavern at stunning Boka Tabla where slippery steps cut into the rocks lead you into the mouth of the cavern. Above the limestone bluffs are spectacular views of Curacao's rugged north coast and the nearby beaches are home to three different species of sea turtles. Hiking trails meander past rolling lava hills to Boka Wandomi, Boka Kalki and, our favourite, Boka Pistol. As the name suggests, this picturesque place is as loud as it is beautiful due to the crashing waves.
