Although we’re not usually big fans of resorts, we'll gladly make an exception for the Lions Dive and Beach Resort. No matter where you're room is located within the complex you're never more than a few steps away from the beach. With two swimming pools, the dive school of Ocean Encounters and four restaurants to choose from, you basically have no reason to leave the place.You can even start your day with breakfast on the beach. The recently refurbished accommodation is state-of-the-art with flat screen TV, fridge and coffee maker. Other benefits include abundant space, shared balconies, well-equipped kitchenettes and lots of free sports activities. The beach itself is picture perfect with white sand, palm trees and plenty of lounge chairs under shady umbrellas. The beach front rooms can, however, get a little noisy at night. The hotel is located a mere 10-minute drive from the centre of Willemstad and there’s a free shuttle bus service to the supermarket and the city twice a day (09:00 & 14:00, back 11:30 & 17:00).
