Of the 55 Landhuizen still in existence on Curacao, this is one of the smallest and oldest. Although the exact year of its construction is unknown, historic journals reveal that this unique house situated in a remote location was already around in 1650. Completely renovated in the 1970s, it’s now a charming hotel and restaurant. Luckily, the owner left the rustic style intact, so you can still experience the old-fashioned ambience of centuries past on a covered verandah. Ït's enormous salads, homemade onion soup and freshly baked breads are reason enough to justify the trip.
