Nobody knows when this historic building was abandoned, but it was given a complete renovation in 2013 and is once again habitable. On the top floor of one of the oldest, if not the biggest, plantation house on Curacao, you'll find four basic, yet comfortable rooms. The steep staircase may not be the best option for everyone, but if you don't mind the climb then you'll see that it was more than worth the effort. Don't expect lots of bells and whistles, as the accommodation doesn't offer many frills, but if you enjoy the finer things in life like wine then you'll be happy to learn that the friendly Dutch owners also run the attached winery. A huge, healthy breakfast is included in the price and the excellent view from the patio towards the airport are just a couple more reasons to call Curacao Winery home, at least for a few days.
