Probably the most attractive of Burgas' museums, the exhibits display the archaeological wealth of this region from the 6th century through to the 15th century AD. There is a very interesting exposition of women's adornments from the 11th century, and in one hall you can see archaeological artefacts found during the construction of the Trakia motorway, as well as more recent exciting finds from nearby Roman sites. The actual building itself in the heart of the pedestrian zone was once a girls school.
