Zandvoort is home to Holland’s most important race track. It opened in 1948 and from its inception until 1985, the Dutch Grand Prix of Formula One was held here. Big names like Jim Clark, Alain Prost and Niki Lauda have all raced in Zandvoort. Current events include the A1 Grand Prix and the Masters of Formula Three. For an up-to-date calendar of events check out its website where you can also book tickets. This June and July you can also take a tour of the race track every Wednesday at 14:00 and learn about its history while viewing its most interesting features firsthand. Tickets cost €9.50 and must be bought in advance at VVV Zandvoort. The tour begins with coffee or tea at BMW Driving Experience Slotemakers.
