This landmark gay- and lesbian-friendly hotel was created shortly after World War II and has been serving the LGBT community on one of the city’s hottest gay streets ever since. Unfortunately, not much seems to have changed here since its founding, so many style-conscious guests won’t find much to rave about, especially the steep stairs. That said, rooms are clean and comfortable, if a little run down, and include, in most cases, private bathrooms, TV, refrigerator, wi-fi and coffee/tea sets.

According to some reviews this is no longer a "gay" hotel and has been taken over by a larger corporation. ??
