Our only complaint about De Italiaan would have to be that it’s so popular and crammed with people in the evening that a reservation is often necessary. But this is of course a testament to its authentic cuisine and atmosphere. Most of the ingredients used in its open plan kitchen are imported from organic farms in Italy and all of its Italian wines can be enjoyed by the glass, carafe or bottle within its two-storey red interior or out on the summer terrace. A huge number of pizzas are prepared in a wood-fired oven, but lots of other traditional main courses and starters are also available.
