In the Third World it's not unusual to have dinner at someone's house for relatively little money. Although this is a way for the people of those nations to make ends meet, in Holland people do it because it's trendy, yet practical and a good way for locals to show off their love of food without opening an expensive restaurant. One such Amsterdam home chef is Tinda. In a pleasant terraced house in Noord you can choose from Mediterranean, Far Eastern, North African or Dutch cuisine. It's not particularly cheap, however, as a four-course dinner will set you back about €45, but it's definitely something different.
