BAK started out as a catering concept created by three friends and quickly expanded from servicing festivals and private parties to a proper restaurant in an unusual location in the Zeeheldenbuurt neighbourhood of Amsterdam West near the water. Although it’s open for lunch every day except Sundays, many of its hip patrons in the know drop by after 18:30 for largely organic, international cuisine served in a cosy attic of an historic brick building.
