Parking
The streets can be busy on evenings where shops are open late (Thursdays until 21:00), on Saturdays and on certain Sundays when the shops are open. A good alternative can be to use one of the three park & ride facilities (see chapter Transferium).
One of the better -and very spacious- parking garages is Paleiskwartier. It's located behind the central station about a 10-minute walk from the city centre. Most car parks can be found in the inner city, where you usually pay €2,20/hour.
A relative new method for paying for your parking is by your mobile telephone. Choose one of the four providers (Park-Line, Yellowbrick, SMSParking, Parkmobile) and send the number of your parking zone (visible on the parking meter) to the provider. You can call them, send a SMS, mobile internet or use a special App. When your return to your car, choose your way of letting your provider know that your parkingtime is finished. The bill will be paid by creditcard or billed from your bancaccount.
Also on weekends you can park pretty cheap at the three P + R areas near the Central Station. During the week the commuters of the Dutch railways are using these 600 spaces, but owner Q-Park has agreed to give these spaces for one euro an hour on Saturdays and Sundays to visitors of downtown 's-Hertogenbosch. One is at the westside of the station (Maijweg), the two others are at the backside of the station (Magistratenlaan / Parallelweg). Note that you can only pay with chipknip or creditcard! Just look for the blue and white sign with Parkeerterrein written on it.
