You’ll find taxis wherever you need taxis: in the middle of town, near hotels and anywhere lots of people hang out socially. German taxis are among the cleanest and safest in the world; if only we could say the same for the drivers. Don’t count on everyone understanding fluent English. Speak slowly and clearly, and do lots of pointing at the map. Fares are €1.20/km (€1.30 from 22:00-06:00) with an initial fare of €1.80.
