Few places have reinvented themselves so fully and completely in recent memory then Spiż. In 2011 the storied dance brewery shuttered their doors for a ‘renovation’. At some point one of the powers that be ended up on a plane to Ibiza and the decision was made to purchase a sound system and light display that would make David Guetta go deaf and blind. In a year and a half’s time the massive two floor club was given a facelift, tummy tuck and a boob job and what you’ll find inside will literally blow your mind. They claim it’s the most modern night club in Poland and from the looks of it they aren’t just blowing smoke (machines)... If you consider yourself a fan of serious clubbing and great beer - it is your destiny to dance here.. till you can’t hear... for a year.

Rubbish. FYI, as far as breweries go there are two of the biggest in PL close to Katowice: Tyskie (located nearby in Tychy) and Żywiec. You can take tours of both and Zywiec makes a nice stop if you're taking a detour into the mountains; the brewery architecture is beautiful. Not the greatest beer but crazy cheap: while killing time at the bus station in Zywiec we had a drink at a bar close by and it was only 2.50zł for a pint!
